Playful and profound, Séquence 8 is an exhilarating race through the furthest reaches of acrobatics, circus arts, dance and theatre. With emotions so heightened they spring into action, and relationships that transform and evolve until they create actual velocity, the show contemplates the role of the “other”, and how we define ourselves through and against it.
Translating literally as ‘the 7 fingers of the hand’ Les 7 doigts de la main is a twist on a French idiom used to describe distinct parts united towards one common goal. Here it refers to the 7 founding directors of the company who, by combining their distinct talents and experiences, work together with the beautifully awkward dexterity of a 7-fingered hand.
