Join us at one of two Home Open Days this spring – open to anyone who’d like to create, develop or rehearse a contribution for this flagship International Dance Festival Birmingham project.
Home is a bold, inventive new production that will move through the streets of Birmingham city centre over three weeks in April and May 2012, and we’re looking for 1000 people from across Birmingham and the West Midlands to be part of it.
From individuals, friends and families, to work colleagues, community groups and artists – anyone can share their thoughts on home, identity and belonging, and help shape this incredible dance experience!
The performances will begin quietly with a string of solos one after the other, evolving into group pieces and eventually becoming one large-scale spectacular finale performed on a landscape of connected doormats (Sunday 13 May). Individual doormats, chosen for their reference to home, will act as miniature stages on which you will perform.
Participants should bring their own doormat as these are a vital part of the project and final performance. Please also bring a packed lunch.

I like minimal arts, in visual art andin theatre , in dance important is any gesture. You do not need to hang up on the lantern to make dance theatre; I love Charlie Chasplin and it is somethimg from this spirit, be glad to be part of Festival coming in a few constelations ( with 3 dancing groups).
