Be transported to South America for the weekend with our Argentine Tango Intensive – offering great atmosphere, energy, and excitement with classes for all levels, including a “taster” course for absolute beginners.
Far away from ballroom tango and its preset sequence, Argentine Tango is a purely improvised dance, based on an intimate and strong connection between a couple and the music. This intimate connection within the couple – and between the couple – and the music shows this dance as a passionate and sensual dance to the eyes of many people who do not dance it.
Sandra and Loyd, who teach and perform worldwide and run the home of traditional tango here in Birmingham, will be taking special care of beginners by giving them two classes plus a supervised practice. They will be joined by world famous Argentine Tango masters Sebastian and Andrea, visiting the UK for the first time to teach (intermediate and advanced levels) and perform during this weekend; plus, DJ Damian Boggio will entertain with his selection of the best music around during the three evening Milongas (social evenings where people dance with one another, socialise, watch a performance, and generally have a lot of fun!).
Here is what a previous participant said about their experience: “Amazing organisation, fantastic music, friendly atmosphere, you don’t realise you are dancing for so many hours when you enjoy that much, and also someone said on the last day that she was so sad that tomorrow she will wake up and this will be all over… must do it again soon.”
