Home: Andy Brunskill – Director // Assistant Director Opportunity

We are excited to announce that Theatre Director Andy Brunskill has joined the Home team to create the final performances, which will take place between 23 April and 13 May, from the 1000 contributions we aim to receive.

We caught up with Andy on his most recent visit, and asked him to introduce himself, and to explain his initial thoughts for the project.

Andy is the first of the creative team to come on board, and we’re currently looking for an Assistant Director to join us. You can read more about the oppportunity here, and the deadline for applications is Wednesday 25 January.

Happy New Year from IDFB

With Christmas celebrations fast becoming a dim and distant memory, we’re looking ahead to April (104 days to go – not that we’re counting!) when we’ll once again be bringing venues and public spaces across Birmingham and the West Midlands alive with dance – entertaining and inspiring audiences of all ages with a world class programme of events and activities!

Our programme features some great international dance icons, including Sylvie Guillem, Louise Lecavalier (pictured) and Dave St-Pierre. We’re also looking forward to new commissions and world premieres by Shaun Parker, Jessica Lang, and David Toole, not to mention performances by some of the world’s best dance companies – Royal Ballet Flanders, Danza Contemporanea de Cuba, Circolombia, Birmingham Royal Ballet and more!
