Flamenco fever hits IDFB this week

Chanta La Mui will be turning up the heat at Town Hall over the next few days with two very different flamenco performances. Expect a contemporary twist on traditional flamenco style with tonight’s performance of Complot, while tomorrow (as you’re waiting for your vote to be counted) enjoy Recital, a traditional flamenco show with live music specially put together for IDFB.

First seen at IDFB in 2008, where they took Town Hall by storm with En Sus 13, Chanta La Mui is Olga Pericet, Daniel Doña and Marco Flores – all acclaimed performers and choreographers enjoying prestigious international dance careers. We can’t wait to see their new productions this year.

We caught up with Ana Garcia, who brought the company to Birmingham, to explain a little more about what audiences will see:

Watch Chanta La Mui at Town Hall tonight (Complot) and Thursday 6 May (Recital) at 7.30pm. Book for Complot and Recital and get 15% off.
